M.P. for North Somerset, was at Bow-street Police Court on Friday fined £ 100 and 25 guineas costs on summonses under the Defence of the Realm regulations. The first charge alleged that the defendant, without lawful authority, communicated cer- tain information with respect to the supply and condition of certain way material of his 'Majesty the King in a letter, dated August 22 last, addressed to Mr George Raffalovich, of New York. There was a further conference at Shrews- bury on Saturday of the members of the W elsh Agricultural Council with members of 7 the W elsh Parliamentary Party in respect to the setting up in Wales of a colony of small- holdings for soldiers after the war. Professor Bryner Jones, Agricultural Commissioner for Wales, presided 9 and the attendance included Sir Herbert Roberts, M.P., Col. Pryse-Jones, M.P., Mr E. T. John, M.P.. Mr John Hinda, M.P., and Mr Ellis Da vies, M.P The Com- mittee, which sat in private, considered several schemes, but did not come tO any decision, as they wished to have further information.
