BARRY A.F.C.'S FINANCES. FIRST ANNi-Al, MEETIXG OF TEECLrR. PAST SEASON ONE OF EX- COURAGING SUCCESS. Fated with a balance-sheet and a season's record which do credit to any club in the first season of it-, existence, the members of the Barry Association Football and Sports Company, Limited, were in a very happy mood at their first ordinary general mooting at the Windsor Hotel, Barry Docks, on Wed- nesday evening last, and now that the club had been so successfully launched in the dis- trict they viewed its career with great in- terest and optimism. Mr. C. B. Griffiths, the chairman of directors, presided, and in the first annual report, the directors congratu- lated the shareholders upon the financial and playing success of the initial season. Ac- knowledgement was due to Mr. C. D. Thomp- son, J.P. (the president) and donors, for sub- scribing so liberally to the club funds. Gate receipts amounted to t'1,26-1, and with the wiping off of preliminary expenses, and allow- ing £ 231 for wear and tear, there was a net loss of £ 94. Players for next season had been signed on. negotiations were on foot with the view of obtaining new players, and it was confidently anticipated that with the continuance of the loyal and enthusiastic as- s istance of the supporters. Jenner Park would be converted into one of the best grounds in the Southern League. The amount of the donations account." the report added, was £ 429. In wages and travelling expenses £1.000 had been paid. and £ 963 was spent on ground development, t373 on buildings and fencing, and ES4 on club requisites. The accounts were adopted on the motion -of the Chairman, seconded by Mr. T. H. Hill. The meeting passed a vote of deep sym- pathy with Mr. R. W. Hall, one of the club directors, who has undergone a serious opera- tion in London, and wished him a speedy re- covery. Mr. W. H. I vee, J. P.. an enthusiastic mem- Jjer of the Supporters' Club, was warmly con- gratulated upon his election as one of the justices of the peace for the district. Replying to a question by Mr. W. Biainey was re-elected auditor; and the chairman and directors thanked for their services to the Club.

BARRY DOCK BAPTIST GUILD OUTING. At Linn twit Major, on Wednesday Jat. the members of the Young People's Guilll of Hoi- j ton-road English Baptist Church. Barry Docks, spent a highly enjoyable afternoon. It was the Guild annual picnic, and, as in past years, everything went off well. The dulness of the morning gave way to beautiful sunshine, and a company of about thirty en- joyed to the full extent the drive through the beautiful and picturesque Yale of Glamor- gan. Tea was partaken of in the village, after wJiich games were participated in in the meadow. Mr. Ivor J. Morgan efficiently carried out the secretarial arrangements. ——————————
